| Q: Do I need a visa to enter Egypt? |
A: Yes, all nationalities must have a visa to enter Egypt. For most nationalities this can be purchased on arrival at the airport. |
| Q: Is a multiple entry visa required for Egypt if traveling from Egypt to Jordan and back to Egypt? |
A: A multi entry visa is recommended (and most convenient) but its also possible to purchase two single entry visas (one each time you arrive). |
| Q: Can I exchange foreign currency easily in Egypt? |
A: Yes, there are many foreign exchange offices in the cities as well as at the airports and hotels. |
| Q: Do you have ATM's in Egypt? |
A: Yes they are easily found in the Cities. |
| Q: What is the difference between the Nile Cruise boats and the Nile Dahabyia boats? |
A: The Nile Cruise boats have a capacity of around 80 persons and all the regular hotel facilities are available (such as swimming pool, gym, lobby bar, disco, gift shop etc). The Nile Dahabyia boats are sail boats and have a capacity of around 10 - 20 persons - it�s a more intimate sailing experience. |
| Q: Is there toilets on the Felucca boats? |
A: Feluccas are very basic and have no toilet facilities. The overnight felucca trips are back-packer/camping style as you sleep on the deck under the stars. |
| Q: I am female; can I wear shorts in Cairo and at the sights? |
A: Yes. Shorts, long skirts and 3/4 trousers are fine. It's best to be more covered in local markets and at the train stations. |
| Q: Do I need shoes for the Pyramids tour or can I wear sandals? |
A: Sandals are ok, but we recommend walking shoes / sneakers / boots. |
| Q: Can I travel with my children to Egypt? |
A: Yes, Egypt is very exciting for Children. We can organize a private family tour if you prefer. |
| Q: How much do I need to tip the drivers / guides... etc? |
A: We will provide a tipping recommendation upon booking (also see our Travel Tips). Usually 10 - 20 le per person per day for the drivers, 5 - 10 LE per service for hotel porters and 30 - 100 le per person per day for the guides. |
| Q: Can we purchase alcoholic beverages in Egypt? |
A: Yes, in the hotels, cruise boat and at selected restaurants/bars. You can also purchase duty free alcohol on arrival to Egypt. |
| Q: What is the legal drinking age in Egypt? |
A: 21 Years Old. |
| Q: Can I drink Tap Water in Egypt? |
A: We don�t recommend it - NO. |
| Q: Do I need travel insurance when traveling to Egypt? |
A: Its not compulsory but we STRONGLY recommend it. |
| Q: Can I visit a doctor in Egypt if I get sick? |
A: Yes, there are many international standard hospitals. Most hotels and cruise boats will also organize a GP's to visit you in your room/cabin if need be. |
| Q: Can I add extra nights/sights to the standard Egypt / Jordan tours on your Website? |
A: Yes, pre and post tour accommodation plus extra sights can easily be added. Or you can ask one of our travel consultants to make you a tailor made tour. |
| Q: What type of vehicles do you use for the transfers and sight seeing tours? |
A: New model air conditioned mini vans or tourist cars. |
