Tour Itinerary:
 Day 1: Cairo (no meals)
Welcome to Egypt! Meet and assist from Cairo Airport, transfer and check into your hotel.
Day 2: Cairo (B)
This morning we travel to the last remaining member of the Seven Wonders of the World - The Giza Pyramids. Situated west of the Nile, bordering on the Sahara desert, the Great Pyramid of Khufu, The Pyramid of Khafre, The Pyramid of Menkaure and The Great Sphinx are considered the world most significant sights. We continue onto Memphis, the ancient Capital City of Egypt.
Lastly, we travel to Sakkara, which is the necropolis of Memphis and where you will find the first pyramid ever built - The Step Pyramid of Zoser. Your evening is free to enjoy Cairo�s buzzing night life. Overnight at your Hotel.
Day 3: Cairo (B)
We begin our tour today at the Egyptian Museum where the world's largest collection of monuments, mummies and daily artifacts of Ancient Egypt lie, including the famous mask and treasures of King Tutankhamen. We then begin our tour to old Cairo visiting the Citadel (containing the Mosque of Muhammad Ali), the World Heritage Listed Coptic Area including Al-Muallaka (the Hanging Church built on the walls of a Roman Fort), The Church of St Sergius and finally The Ben Ezra Synagogue (the oldest Jewish Temple in Egypt built after the fall of Jerusalem in 70AD). Later this afternoon we visit the Khan Khalili Bazaar. Overnight at your Hotel.
(This evening you have the option of enjoying the famous Sound and Light Show or a Cruise Boat Dinner and Belly Dancing Show).
Day 4: Cairo - Alexandria - Cairo (B) (L)
We rise early this morning and travel north to the Mediterranean Coastal City of Alexandria. First stop is the Quitbey Forte, built in the 1477 with the same stones in the same location as the Pharos Light House (being one of the Seven Wonder�s of the World). We then visit the Catacombs of Kom Al Shouqafa otherwise known as the Roman Graves and the Graeco-Roman Museum. Lunch is at a seafood restaurant overlooking the beautiful shoreline and modern day life. Before we journey back to Cairo we have a change to stroll around the Alexandria Library, the largest and most prestigious library in the world. Free time this evening. Overnight at your Hotel.
Day 5: Cairo - Red Sea - Cairo (B) (L)
Traveling 140km East of Cairo we spend the day at Ain Sokhna. Located on the Red Sea (which is the famous for Moses splitting the sea), its territory extends along the Gulf of Suez shoreline for about 80 km. The area is known for its mild climate all year round, beautiful sandy beaches and sea water. Spend the day relaxing and enjoy lunch on the beach. It�s a pleasant trip back to Cairo as the sun is setting. Free time this evening. Overnight at your Hotel.
Day 6: Cairo (B)
Check out of your hotel and transfer to the airport for final departure of Egypt. |
