Tour Itinerary:
 Day 1: Cairo (no meals)
Welcome to Egypt! Meet and assist from Cairo Airport, transfer and check into your hotel.
Day 2: Cairo (B)
This morning we travel to the last remaining member of the Seven Wonders of the World - The Giza Pyramids. Situated west of the Nile, bordering on the Sahara desert, the Great Pyramid of Khufu, The Pyramid of Khafre, The Pyramid of Menkaure and The Great Sphinx are considered the world most significant sights. We continue onto Memphis, the ancient Capital City of Egypt.
Lastly, we travel to Sakkara, which is the necropolis of Memphis and where you will find the first pyramid ever built - The Step Pyramid of Zoser. Your evening is free to enjoy Cairo�s buzzing night life. Overnight at your Hotel.
Day 3: Cairo (B)
We begin our tour today at the Egyptian Museum where the world's largest collection of monuments, mummies and daily artifacts of Ancient Egypt lie, including the famous mask and treasures of King Tutankhamen. We then begin our tour to old Cairo visiting the Citadel (containing the Mosque of Muhammad Ali), the World Heritage Listed Coptic Area including Al-Muallaka (the Hanging Church built on the walls of a Roman Fort), The Church of St Sergius and finally The Ben Ezra Synagogue (the oldest Jewish Temple in Egypt built after the fall of Jerusalem in 70AD). Later this afternoon we visit the Khan Khalili Bazaar. Overnight at your Hotel.
(This evening you have the option of enjoying the famous Sound and Light Show or a Cruise Boat Dinner and Belly Dancing Show).
Day 4: Cairo - Alexandria (B) (L)
After breakfast you will check out of your hotel and take a private transfer to Alexandria. Upon arrival to this Mediterranean City, founded by Alexander the Great you will visit the Quitbey Forte, built in the 1477 with the same stones in the same location as the Pharos Light House (being one of the Seven Wonder�s of the World). Lunch is at a seafood restaurant overlooking the beautiful shoreline and modern day life. Check into your hotel and enjoy a free afternoon and evening. Overnight at your Hotel.
Day 5: Alexandria (B)
Starting either in the morning or afternoon today you enjoy a half day city tour of Alexandria. Visiting the Catacombs of Kom Al Shouqafa otherwise known as the Roman Graves, the Graeco-Roman Museum and lastly you have a change to stroll around the Alexandria Library, the largest and most prestigious library in the world. Overnight at your hotel.
(Optional trip out of town today to visit El Alamein War II Museum. A fabulous look at the more recent history in this region of Egypt).
Day 6: Alexandria - Cairo (B)
Free morning to relax or perhaps take a walk along the beach boulevard. At midday you check out and take your private transfer back to Cairo and Check into your hotel. Free afternoon and evening. Overnight at your hotel.
Day 7: Cairo (B)
Check out of your hotel and transfer to the airport for final departure of Egypt. |
