Day 2: Cairo - Aswan (B) (D)
|
This morning we
travel to the last remaining member of the Seven
Wonders of the World -
The Giza Pyramids. Situated west of the Nile, bordering on the Sahara desert, the Great Pyramid of Khufu, The Pyramid of Khafre, The Pyramid of Menkaure and The Great Sphinx are considered the world most significant sights. We continue onto
Memphis, the ancient Capital City of Egypt. Lastly, we travel to
Sakkara,
which is the necropolis of Memphis and where you
will find |

the first pyramid ever built - The Step Pyramid of Zoser. Later this evening you will board the overnight sleeper train to Aswan enjoying dinner and breakfast in your own compartment. Overnight Sleeper Train. |

Day 3: Aswan (B) (L) (D)
|
Arrive to Aswan by late morning, transfer and check into your luxurious 5* Nile Cruise Boat
- where we will spend the next few days. Freshen up and enjoy lunch on board. This afternoon a visit out of town takes us to the mighty
High Dam a modern feat of engineering, continuing, we enjoy a short ride to Agilika Island for
Philae Temple - dedicated to the Goddess Isis. Following Philae you have free time to explore the vibrant colorful souks and markets of Aswan before enjoying dinner on the Nile whilst absorbing the Nubian culture. Overnight Nile Cruise. |

Day 4: Nile Cruise (B) (L) (D)

Early morning we have the option to visit the famous
Abu Simbel (the remarkable rock cut temple of King Ramsis II) by road or plane.
We set sail this afternoon for a 2 night voyage on the river Nile upstream stopping at
Komombo Temple before sunset. Built in 185 BC Komombo is the youngest temple in Egypt. Overnight Nile Cruise.

Day 5: Nile Cruise (B) (L) (D)
|
After a morning sail we arrive at Edfu. We take a horse and carriage to visit the Great
Edfu Temple dedicated to the falcon headed God Hours.
Edfu Temple is considered the best preserved temple remaining in Egypt today.
The rest of the day is spent relaxing and swimming on the sun deck watching the Nile drift by as we head towards Luxor. Later this afternoon we visit the
Temple of Karnack, the largest temple in the world (70 acres) dedicated to worshiping the god Amun Ra, followed by a visit to the
Temple of Luxor . Overnight Nile Cruise.

Day 6: Luxor - Hurghada (B)
|
After breakfast we disembark the cruiser in Luxor. With a big day ahead. An early start allows us to avoid the heat as we venture to the amazing
Valley of Kings and Valley of the Queens on the West Bank of the Nile. We continue on to the unique, modern looking
Temple of Queen Hatshepsut's, which forms a magnificent contrast with the cliffs of the Desert Mountains. Lastly we stop at the
Colossi of Memnon. This evening you travel North East to Hurghada by private vehicle. Upon arrival to Hurghada check into your hotel. Overnight at your Hotel.

Day 7: Hurghada (B)
|
Free time today to enjoy the Red Sea Resort Town of Hurghada. Once just a simple fishing village, Hurghada is now a bustling town famous for its crystal clear water, mild climate and untouched reefs. Overnight at your Hotel.

Day 8: Hurghada – Sharm El Sheikh (B)
|
We rise early this morning to board the ferry to Sharm El Sheikh.
Situated on the southern most tip of the Sinai Peninsular, this Red Sea hot spot has been billed as one of the most picturesque, idyllic vacation cities in the world. Water sports, diving, golf, tennis and shopping are to name just a handful of the activities available in Sharm. Once we have arrived and checked into our resort we begin free time. Overnight at your Hotel.

Day 9: Sharm El Sheikh (B)

Free time today. Overnight at your Hotel.
Optional tour available this evening to Mt Sinai and St Catherine’s Monastery. Mt Sinai, famous for the peak where Moses received the Ten Commandments, is a greatly ventured pilgrimage destination.

Day 12: Sharm El Sheikh - Cairo (B)

Mid morning bus to Cairo. Arrive back to Cairo and check into your hotel. The rest of the day is free. Overnight at your Hotel. |

Day 13: Cairo (B)
|
We begin our tour today at the Egyptian Museum where the world's largest collection of monuments, mummies and daily artifacts of Ancient Egypt lie, including the famous mask and treasures of King Tutankhamen.
We then continue our tour to old Cairo visiting the Citadel (containing the
Mosque of Muhammad Ali), the World Heritage Listed Coptic Area including
Al-Muallaka (the Hanging Church built on the walls of a Roman Fort),
The Church of St Sergius and finally The Ben Ezra Synagogue (the oldest Jewish Temple in Egypt built after the fall of Jerusalem in 70AD). Later this afternoon we visit
the Khan Khalili Bazaar. Overnight at your Hotel.
This evening you have the option of enjoying the famous Sound and Light Show or a Cruise Boat Dinner and Belly Dancing Show.

Check out of your hotel and transfer to the airport for final departure of Egypt.
